German Alpine Club Recommendations for Dealing with Right-wing Extremism

What should you do if racist remarks are made during a course, if hate speech suddenly appears in the group chat? Or even if right-wing extremists appear in the club? The "Handreichung" (handout) is intended to help volunteers and full-time staff in such situations, which, as everywhere in society, can no longer be ruled out. For the German Alpine Club, it is quite clear that anyone who publicly identifies as right-wing extremist cannot hold function in our club. In addition, the handout from the federal association provides information on the extent to which people who make such statements can be excluded or denied membership.
